Lead and manage marquee matters across film, OTT, broadcasting, digital, gaming & content platforms

Provide strategic advisory on contracts, licensing, IP rights, compliance, broadcasting regulations, and dispute resolution

Handle high-stakes negotiations, litigation & arbitrations within the sector
-
Build and grow client relationships, leveraging existing networks and attracting new mandates
-
Drive practice development and contribute to the firm’s thought leadership in the industry

Mentor and guide a talented team of associates, fostering professional growth
Accountability
1. Client Advisory & Transactional Support
-
Provide legal counsel to clients in the media, entertainment, OTT, digital, and advertising industries on non-litigation matters.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including:
-
Content licensing and distribution agreements
-
Talent/artist agreements
-
Production and co-production agreements
-
Advertising and sponsorship contracts
-
Music publishing and synchronization licenses
-
2. Regulatory & Compliance Advisory
-
Advise clients on applicable laws and regulatory frameworks including:
-
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
-
Broadcasting regulations (TRAI, MIB guidelines)
-
ASCI codes, IT Act, and data privacy laws
-

Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with local and international content standards and regulations.
3. Contract Management & Strategy

Lead contract negotiations and develop strategies that align legal protections with business objectives.

Mitigate legal risk through structured contract terms, indemnities, warranties, and IP ownership clauses.
4. Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy
-
Assist in acquisition, protection, exploitation, and monetization of IP across media platforms.

Conduct IP due diligence in content acquisitions, format licensing, and rights sales.
